Duette Rough-out Kit

To more fully exploit Wilson Audio Duette’s performance in custom cabinets, Wilson developed the Duette Rough-out Kit. The Rough-out kit provides a predictable acoustic environment for the Wilson Audio Duette when installed in a cabinet. The kit reduces interaction between the Wilson Duette and the main cabinet. It also minimizes diffraction and reduces unwanted internal reflections.

The Wilson Audio Duette Rough-out kit is a rigid sub-cabinet that is installed inside the custom cabinet. It employs Wilson’s proprietary “X” material in the area beneath the Duette, creating the ideal nonresonant platform, and it is key to eliminating cavity resonance endemic to cabinet mounting. When employed correctly, the Rough-out Kit is the ideal tool to maximize performance of the Duette in custom cabinets.
